Got me through the day but I'd have some serious cramping when I eventually took the weight off them.Īround the house or just popping down the shops I like stuff designed for running (Asics Comutura, specifically) as it's shaped for an arch so it adds a bit of structure to my foot, but it's also cushioned in plenty of the right areas. Dunlop Nevada work boots and more recently Hi-tec Eurotrek lites. I wore boots like this with orthotic insoles and the aforementioned bandages. HypaBand elasticated tube bandages, size D (you might be a different size) are available in 10 metre rolls from Amazon.įor boots I always look for a slight raised heel so my feet aren't flat on the floor, the back near the heel being high up (well above the ankle), stiff at the back and sides so that it gives a bit of structure to my foot and prevents the ankle from rolling. Compression socks never did much for me but these seemed to work, though I'm not sure how healthy it is circulation wise- maybe check with a medical professional first. Until recently I was working long hours on my feet, I'd wear boots and cut tube bandages to a long length length, doubled up to support my feet.
